4. construct your schedule

With a list of all the professors/classes ranked for each of your core courses, register for these classes/professors. Repeat the steps for non-core courses. Non-core courses took lower priority and we often registered for whatever was available. However, be sure to take note of what best fit your needs in terms of breaks, meals, extracurriculars etc. Remember, you will not always get your choice of professors/class as the courses with many of the "best" professors often fill up the fastest. This is where having your ranked list from your research is important in determining the second "best" just in case you are unable to get your first choice.

consult with your advisors

It is important to consult with your academic advisors for their input. They may give you helpful information from the multitude of students that they have worked with and their knowledge of school policies. For example, there may be some courses where many students have struggled when paired with another course. Having this information can help you plan your schedule and strategy, and your advisor may give you helpful suggestions.
